Look I'm 47 years old and as a child of ten recall reading the newspaper about the mid-east, everyday there was one group of religious zealot's was blowing up another group, innocent women & children being blown apart by bomb's, Airplane hi-jacking's, despotic clan wars, kidknappings, religious decree's against a neighbor. . . This was in 1970, before G. H. W. Bush was even in the CIA just for a point of reference, and nothing was one damn bit different than it is today in the mid-east. . . As a CHILD I recall saying to my father in an ironic way (dad was an Army assault helo-pilot in Vietnam), there is nothing but sand over there, why doesn't the President just nuke all of it and allow someone else to inhabit the area? That was the frustration of a child wondering why those people couldn't settle their problems by talking, obviously simplistic, but it goes to show that even a child has a better idea of how to solve adult problems than the adult's... I didn't really want to blow up the people, but as a smart little boy I just wanted my dad to know that although toy's were my first concern, that for 15 minutes every day or so ranting about what was in the paper. . .
